The Accessory People Global 2004/5 (TAP) was founded in 1997 with an investment of only £2000 to a £450 million annual turnover in 2005, and lead to its inclusion in the Sunday Times HSBC Top Track 250 league table of the biggest mid-market private companies. Its aim is to provide a solution to the rapidly growing market need for high tech accessories. The company has been at the forefront of innovation and producing improving products at affordable prices to the mobile high tech marketplace and is recognised as a leading accessory company worldwide. This remarkable feat has been achieved because of TAP's dedication to quality products and the extra level of customer care that has become the company's trademark.

The company's vision has always been to supply only the best and finest hi-tech accessories and to providing an unrivalled quality of service and this continues today. The company has put into place a long term structure and planning program which drives the company forward in diversifying into other newer markets. The company does not intend to stand still but push itself forward and be the only brand name for accessories, whether that is cellular, data, computer, fashion, household or car accessories. The Accessory People Global currently distributes accessories to over 60 countries throughout the world including Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Far East and Asia.

Acknowledging that the people are its biggest asset, The Accessory People Global employs over 100 team members in the UK, consisting of specialists in Sales, both UK and International, Purchasing, Marketing & PR, Accounts & Finance, Logistics, Operations & Human Resources and Customer Services. The ethos is very much one where the small but highly motivated and competent team proactively communicate with customers to resolve any issues immediately. Being pertinent to the importance of customer liaison is a key to business success. In addition to this, having ISO accreditation also ensures that TAP maintains this high level of customer service. Recent developments into IT, the informative website, materials planning, logistics, warehousing, quality control and an extensive team training programme of two days per month ensures that product knowledge and service is second to none.

Tailored customer solutions are provided in line with individual customer requirements including bespoke packaging, point of sale and in house fulfilment. It is not a question of why TAP are the best, but the fact that TAP are constantly improving in this very dynamic industry. With specialist teams in place, consisting of team members with a wealth of experience gained over many years in the industry, The Accessory People Global are in a very strong position to know what the industry has to offer, the direction it is going in and what the future holds.

TAP is the definition of innovation and creation and there is always encouragement to bring new ideas to the company by the means of incentives from company cars, holidays abroad and nights out to get the most out of our team and reward those that put in the effort. This is reflected in our low team turnover with an average of 5 years employment. TAP is also dedicated to helping charities by attending numerous events throughout the year and donating money to local initiatives. We are patrons to Save the Children and in 2003 were the 30 th largest financial charity donor in the UK.

WHAT WE HAVE ACHIEVED
The company has received many awards and accolades including "What Cellphone" Award of Excellence, Finalist - Best Accessory Company 2000/2001 and Best of Business Awards 2001 Finalist for 'Best Growing Business'. The Accessory People Global was also the first in the industry to be accredited the National Quality Assurance BS EN ISO 9002 Award

The pinnacle of all awards was received by winning the National Business Awards in association with KPMG in 2002 alongside other National awards achieved by key team members.
